We spent a few days at Shuswap Provincial Park. The group campsite has seven individual sites plus a shelter and a a lorge grass field. No camping on the grass so Kathy had to mix and match campers on each site. There are more RVs each year so most sites had a RV plus a tent or two. Kathy and I arrived a little later than expected and several members were patiently waiting for their site assignment. A few members with extra large RVs opted for individual stes nearby.
This year the theme was Hawaiian and Kathy provided Spam bites appetizwe, chicken thighs in Hawaiian Shoyu sauce, coconut rice, Waldorf salad, and pineapple upside down cake. Louise posted some pictures on the Inside Edge Facebook page.
Someone brought a throwing game called Mölkky which kept people entertained at the beach and on the field.
Part of the park is Copper Island so on Wednesday several people paddled over to the island and hiked the trail.
Group campsites are booked a year in advance and I managed to reserve Fintry for the August 2024 long weekend.
