Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting is Thursday March 7th at 7:00 pm to be held using Zoom.
This meeting is for members in good standing only. If there are any Executive positions to be elected, it will take place at this time. You should have received an email inviting you to register in advance for the meeting. Please register by Thursday March 7 at 4pm. Once the meeting starts it will be busy and I may miss your registration.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ELECTED POSITIONS ARE OPEN TO ALL ELIGIBLE MEMBERS, EVEN IF THE POSITION IS CURRENTLY FILLED.
December Clubnight Report
What a merry club night we had. Lots of festive sweaters, flashing bulb necklaces, Santa hats and homemade cookies. A big thanks to the staff at the Great Bear Pub for their great service. Thanks Deb, for your help.
January Clubnight Report
Happy New Year to all our members. We had a great turnout for our first clubnight in January. We will continue to have our clubnights at the Great Bear Pub for this coming year.

March clubnight was celebrated with members wearing the Saint Paddy’s Day Green. We even had some Shamrock Cookies to celebrate the occasion.

Lodge Work Weekend
I’d like to give my sincere thank you to the volunteers who registered for the work weekend. At our peak I believe there were 14 people including Doug and Bev, who live in Whistler, and although they don’t use the lodge came by to help. What a testament to the great members we have!
IE Golf Tournament 2023
On Sunday, the day of the tournament, we saw gale force winds and hazy skies, but 24 IE golfers braved the weather. We had 6 teams of 4 with very unique team names. Sh--T Show, Anna’s Target, MiLoLiLo to name a few.

Clubnight was held at Me N Eds pizza on June 1st. We had a small but enthusiastic group. (Some members didn't realize it was June already.)

It really felt like old times again, with members chatting and table hopping. I would certainly be in favour of having our clubnights at this venue regularly.

Clubnight Report
August club night was once again a success. A big thanks to all the members who came out. I would also like to welcome Sol and Tahereh who are brand new members of the club. Around 25 members attended the Great Bear Pub for the great food and service plus the air conditioning was working.
President's Report April 2023
Spring is in the air. Debbie is back as Socials Manager and is filling up the calendar with events. Dan has taken over as Lodge Manager and a few members have stepped forward to host some lodge events. There's no newsletter so look for the weekly blast in your email and check the web site to see what's happening.
President's Report June 2023
I've lost track of time. I was travelling so maybe that had something to do with it. Don't forget your drug cabinet just in case you meet some annoying cold or flu bug.
The band was back together at the lodge for Pizza & Jam over the Victoria Day weekend. Jonathan made several attempts in the last year to revive the event but people were busy or cautious. I think it's the first post-pandemic lodge event. Up next is Lizanne's Girls Weekend.
President's Report July 2023
One benefit of climate change is Greater Vancouver now has California weather. A little more rain would be nice. After last year a lot of local cedar hedges have turned brown but a little green paint will have them looking lively again. With all the warm, dry weather it feels like summer is almost over even though it's just starting.
The Inside Edge started July with a Canada Day boat cruise from False Creek to (almost) Horseshoe Bay. No fireworks this year but that didn't stop us from a having fun and watching the sun set over Vancouver Island. The next boat cruise is July 29 and will include fireworks. Thanks to Debbie for organizing this and many other events.
President's Report August 2023
We spent a few days at Shuswap Provincial Park.The group campsite has seven individual sites plus a shelter and a a lorge grass field. No camping on the grass so Kathy had to mix and match campers on each site. There are more RVs each year so most sites had a RV plus a tent or two. Kathy and I arrived a little later than expected and several members were patiently waiting for their site assignment. A few members with extra large RVs opted for individual stes nearby.

The days are getting shorter - winter's almost here. Even though the days are hot and dry the mornings are definately cool.
Outdoor pickleball and volleyball are wrapping up and indoor volleyball, badminton, and pickleball are starting.

2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) Report
There were 68 registered voting members in attendance on the 2023 AGM online meeting, and enough for quorum. As this was our third year with an online vote, it went technically smooth without a glitch, making it a very efficient and quick vote.
President's Report March 2023
Another year, another AGM. Thanks to all the members who attended and provided input to the Executive and Trustees. There were a lot of questions from Anonomous. Sorry - my fault. It's an option within the Q&A configuration to not allow anonomous questions and I overlooked it. Every year the setup is a little different as Zoom adds features.
